Puppy Love...

Dana Point Holidays

Party of Five

Four brothers and one sister... five great people! Watching this family interact with each other was pretty neat. There's something really special about large families and it was easy to see the bonds they share during our session that day. The idea was to capture a great portrait to give their parents for Christmas, but i think even I would have a hard time choosing! Thanks again, guys... we had a lot of fun.

Twice... no, Thrice as nice!

This family.... what can we say. An adorable little boy, two spunky, sweet twin girls and two beautiful parents... sounds like a good combination to us! We really want to thank this family for giving us some wonderful shots... and our first opportunity to have some fun with twins!

Just an Orange County kid...

So... here's a fun little project we worked on a few months back. Okay, wait... let me re-phrase that... an obsession.... I mean, contest! And really? Think we could resist??? Of course not... so, the idea behind the contest... dress up like the awesome-est OC band in the entire land of OC and world EVER... No Doubt, and do your best Gwen and band impression to the tunes of "Just a Girl". Well heck... we got the girl... and the 3 boys... hand over that trophy! We filmed the video and took the stills... the kids ate it up and so did our fans... um, i mean friends! Hope you enjoy them, too!

Oh... and in case any of you were wondering... no, we did not "win"... well, if you consider winning having your video played on the big screen during "Just a Girl" on their recent tour, but I will say... that was due to "techinical difficulties" and NO ONE's video's were played. But..... they did make it into the official video collage and it was posted to the No Doubt website for all to see.... so yeah... our kids kinda rock!

Click here to watch! (So, look for the kids at 35 seconds and 55 seconds in!)

Crossed Paths

Funny how you can meet someone, in the most undesirable of circumstances, and find a best friend. It's not your typical situation... in fact, it's a pretty awful situation to be in.... to lose a child to stillbirth. But somehow, we happened upon each other, in fact... many each others, and came to become the closest circle of friends I could ever imagine. All bound by an event that would change our lives forever. Three of us met last summer in Denver... and what a weekend it was. We were fortunate enough to bring our Denver friend to Southern California this summer and even more fortunate to capture two of the newest blessings that day. Love you all.

Off Main Street

Surf City USA (aka Huntington Beach, CA)... a new location for us and a new favorite, for sure! These three siblings were fantastic... and you'd never know it was one of our coldest days of the year! Just off Main Street, we found lots of great historical buildings and shops... too good to pass up for a session! But as I said, these three were willing to brave the cold to please mom and snag some great holiday pics for their Christmas cards... you three were a treat to work with! Oh, and did I mention what a great combo red glitter shoes, black ruffles and red bows make?

In Their Own backyard

Sugar and spice and everything nice... these two siblings were so much fun to work with. You got an older brother, who we're sure had better things to do, and a bubbly, little sister who was just happy to be there... well, and happy to annoy her older brother! But when we said "say cheeese", both were all smiles. In fact, we even caught a few real ones from "J" when he didn't think we were looking.... it couldn't have been all bad then.... right? (Thanks, "J"... you did great!) And, "A"... what a fresh, natural beauty she is! Thanks for a great session! (And thanks for taking us to this new location... we're sure it'll become a favorite!)

Local Boys

Being an Orange native is something a local takes a lot of pride in. There is so much great history and local character here... it's a great place to live and is really amazing for pictures! These two natives were so sweet... the cherries on top of this sunday!

A Day at the Park!

What charmers... just look at their faces! These two were such fun to work with. We really looked forward to catching some great pics, too. Talking with mom, we shared our stressful experiences of portrait studios and uninterested kids... not the most fun of times! Sometimes all it takes is a little fun at the park.... just look what can happen!
